The Flower Shop

It’s a great place as he describes —
I ask, “Have you ever been inside?”
He says No, just a quick glimpse when I pass by
“Ohh! Then How do you say you’re in love and so — ”
No! No! No! NO He asserts
It’s just the petals and some comely colours
Or it’s just the glass that separates it from the dirt
“Again! Why do you look so obsessed and more — ”
No! No! No! NO He repeats that
It’s just my plain balcony and my lonely flat
Flowers, pots, bouquets are more work and clap
“Okay so you never wish to bring one home — ”
No! No! No! NO he cries and hops
I can’t afford to stare long enough and just stop —
One day I’ll be rich enough to buy them all
Or filthy enough to break into the shop.
