The Iron Gate

There’s a place that I desire to seek—
A house in the vicinity.
The only impediments that block my way
Are the big walls and the Iron gate.

I wonder why aren’t the gates guarded, though?
I think the owner’s aware of my stature - yeah, he knows!
I wish I could intrude and do the crime
But for my weak limbs that check my climb

A ladder could be a great aid
But I’ll find one a few miles away
Or a friend who’ll help me, indeed!
But I won’t choose to share my greed.

I know the Maker will take his time and make me wait
He’ll probably show me some underpass, till then I stare at this tall Iron gate.
